Get to Know me
Hi, I'm Laura.
Originally from Newcastle, I started my career in London working in advertising.
I loved it, the pace, the travel, working on global projects, long days on location and in studios.
From the outside, it looked exciting and successful.
But behind the scenes, I wasn’t looking after myself.
What started with "just feeling stressed", slowly became;
-
constantly switched on.
-
finding it hard to relax.
-
wired, but exhausted.
-
irritation at everyone around me
-
struggling to properly switch off.
And still, i kept going.
Like a lot of people in high-pressure environments, i pushed through.
Work didn't stop.
Responsibilities didn't stop.
So neither did i.
Until eventually, my body made the decision for me.
-
Fatigue cycles left me unable to get out of bed.
-
Brain fog made it hard to think clearly.
-
Even simple daily tasks felt overwhelming.
That experience showed me something I hadn’t understood before, What happens when your system stays under pressure for too long.
It wasn't just physical.
It affected how i thought, focused, made decisions and functioned day to day.
So I stepped away from London and returned to Newcastle to focus on my health and rebuild.
I retrained in breathwork, somatic (body-based) techniques, and nervous system approaches, not just to recover, but to understand how to operate differently under pressure.
Today thats what i help other people do.
I help people who are used to pushing through.
People who are capable.
People who get things done.
People who are often the ones everyone else relies on.
But who are starting to feel the cost of constantly being switch on.
I help you recognise when pressure is building, and develop practical ways to deal with it earlier, so it doesn't start affecting your focus at work, your energy at home and your relationships.
It's about changing how you operate under pressure, so you can:
-
Think more clearly
-
Make decisions more easily
-
Feel steadier when things get busy
-
Switch off properly
-
Have energy left at the end of the day
Life will always have pressure.
You can't remove pressure from your life.
You can build the capacity to deal with it differently.

Whats actually happening
When you're under pressure for long periods without enough recovery, your body stays switched on.
Eventually, being switched on can start to feel normal and rest can feel impossible.
Over time, this can affect your:
-
Sleep
-
Focus
-
Energy
-
Breathing
-
Patience
-
Ability to relax and recover
-
Emotional responses
-
Capacity to deal with everyday demands
You might notice:
-
You're exhausted but can't switch off
-
You're overthinking everything
-
You're procrastinating or avoiding things
-
Struggling to concentrate like you used to
-
Simple decisions feel overwhelming
-
You're struggling to follow through
-
You're more irritable than usual
-
You're feeling breathless during everyday activity or exercise
-
Your breathing feels shallow or restricted
-
You feel tense, restless or constantly on edge
This doesn't mean you're failing.
It can be a sign that you've been operating under more pressure than your system has been able to recover from.
And thats something you can work on.
My Work
Practical support for real life
My approach is straightforward, supportive and focused on what actually works in your life.
No complicated wellness routines.
No trying to completely overhaul your lifestyle.
No one-size-fits-all approach.
I combine evidence-informed functional breathing, breathwork and body-based techniques with nervous system education and coaching to help you understand what is happening and more importantly what you can actually do about it.
We look at how you're responding to pressure, what's keeping you stuck in that cycle and which practical techniques are going to make the biggest difference for you.
Everything is designed to be:
practical, trackable and realistic
The aim isn't to eliminate stress.
Life will always have pressure.
You can't remove pressure from your life.
But you can change how you respond to it.
The key is having ways to respond to it so that you don't spend your life stuck in survival mode.
Instead of constantly running on urgency, you can build the capacity to:
-
Think clearly when life gets busy
-
Make decisions without constantly second-guessing yourself
-
Finish the day with energy left
-
Switch off instead of carrying work and worries into the evening
-
Feel steadier and more capable when things don't go to plan
-
Respond rather than automatically react
-
Have more capacity for the people and things that matter to you
This isn't about becoming calm all the time.
It's about being able to respond to what's happening, rather than it taking over your whole day.
Ready to change how you respond to pressure?
